π BOOK OF ADAM AND EVE
π CHAPTER 1
When God had driven Adam and Eve out of the garden, they went down into the land of the cave of treasures.
And Adam and Eve wept and lamented, saying:
βO Lord, what have we done? Why hast Thou cast us out from Thy presence?β
And they were sorrowful because they had lost the glory that had clothed them.
π CHAPTER 2
And Adam said unto Eve:
βWe have lost our former habitation, and we are brought into this world of darkness.β
βAnd we must now endure hunger and thirst.β
And they were afraid of the night and the darkness.
π CHAPTER 3
And they entered the cave and made it their dwelling.
And Adam said:
βThis cave shall be our place of refuge.β
And they prayed unto the Lord continually.
π CHAPTER 4
And they stood up and prayed, and they lifted up their voices unto the Lord.
And they said:
βO Lord, forgive us our sin, and restore us to Thy mercy.β
π CHAPTER 5
And the Lord sent His Word unto them, saying:
βI have made thee of the dust, and unto dust shalt thou return.β
βBut I will have mercy upon thee in the end.β
π CHAPTER 6
And Adam fasted forty days and forty nights.
And Eve fasted thirty-four days.
And they prayed without ceasing.
π CHAPTER 7
And Satan appeared unto them in the form of an angel of light.
And he said:
βGod hath sent me to bring you back to your former glory.β
π CHAPTER 8
And Adam believed him not, and rebuked him.
And Satan fled from him.
π CHAPTER 9
And again Satan came unto Eve, and deceived her.
And he said:
βEat and be restored.β
π CHAPTER 10
But Adam reproved her, and she repented.
And they continued in fasting and prayer.
π CHAPTER 11
And the Lord strengthened them, and gave them hope.
π CHAPTER 12
And they endured hunger and thirst.
And they learned to live upon the earth.
π CHAPTER 13
And Adam taught Eve to trust in the Lord.
π CHAPTER 14
And Satan returned again, seeking to deceive them.
π CHAPTER 15
And Adam rebuked him in the name of the Lord.
π CHAPTER 16
And they continued in repentance.
π CHAPTER 17
And they prayed day and night.
π CHAPTER 18
And the Lord comforted them.
π CHAPTER 19
And He promised redemption in the future.
π CHAPTER 20
And Adam and Eve remained in the cave, trusting in the Lord.
π CHAPTER 21
And Adam said unto Eve:
βBe patient, for the Lord hath not forsaken us.β
βAnd though we suffer, He will remember His promise.β
And they continued in prayer.
π CHAPTER 22
And Satan returned again, and he appeared as a messenger from God.
And he said:
βThe Lord hath heard your prayer and hath sent me to guide you.β
π CHAPTER 23
And Eve listened, but Adam perceived his deceit.
And Adam said:
βDepart from us, for thou art the enemy.β
And Satan was confounded and fled.
π CHAPTER 24
And Adam wept, and said:
βO Lord, how long shall we be tempted?β
And he fell upon the ground in sorrow.
π CHAPTER 25
And the Lord sent His Word unto Adam, saying:
βBe strong and endure, for I am with thee.β
π CHAPTER 26
And they arose and continued their fasting.
And they stood in the water many days, praying unto God.
π CHAPTER 27
And Satan appeared again and sought to frighten them.
But they did not fear him.
π CHAPTER 28
And Eve said:
βWe will not listen to thee again.β
π CHAPTER 29
And Adam encouraged Eve, saying:
βLet us trust in the Lord.β
π CHAPTER 30
And they endured many hardships.
And they were hungry and weary.
π CHAPTER 31
And the Lord sent angels to strengthen them.
π CHAPTER 32
And they learned to gather food from the earth.
π CHAPTER 33
And Adam taught Eve the ways of survival.
π CHAPTER 34
And Satan continued to tempt them, but they resisted.
π CHAPTER 35
And they prayed continually.
π CHAPTER 36
And the Lord gave them hope.
π CHAPTER 37
And they remembered the garden.
π CHAPTER 38
And they mourned what they had lost.
π CHAPTER 39
And they strengthened one another.
π CHAPTER 40
And they endured in faith.
π CHAPTER 41
And Adam said unto Eve:
βLet us not despair, for the Lord hath promised mercy.β
βAnd though we are cast out, we are not forgotten.β
And they prayed unto the Lord with a contrite heart.
π CHAPTER 42
And the Lord sent His Word unto them, saying:
βBe patient, and endure until the time appointed.β
βFor I will bring salvation unto thee and thy seed.β
π CHAPTER 43
And Adam and Eve were comforted by these words.
And they strengthened themselves in hope.
π CHAPTER 44
And they began to build a life upon the earth.
And they labored with their hands.
π CHAPTER 45
And they gathered food and sustained themselves.
And they learned the ways of the earth.
π CHAPTER 46
And Satan came once more, seeking to deceive them.
But they rebuked him in the name of the Lord.
π CHAPTER 47
And he fled from them, and could not prevail.
π CHAPTER 48
And the Lord sent angels to watch over them.
π CHAPTER 49
And Adam gave thanks unto the Lord.
π CHAPTER 50
And Eve also praised the Lord.
π CHAPTER 51
And they remembered the promise of redemption.
π CHAPTER 52
And they taught their children to fear the Lord.
π CHAPTER 53
And they instructed them in righteousness.
π CHAPTER 54
And the Lord was with them.
π CHAPTER 55
And they lived many days upon the earth.
π CHAPTER 56
And their faith remained strong.
π CHAPTER 57
And they endured all trials.
π CHAPTER 58
And they trusted in the Lord.
π CHAPTER 59
And they waited for His promise.
π CHAPTER 60
And thus the story of Adam and Eve continued, in hope of redemption.
