๐Ÿ“œ ASCENSION OF ISAIAH

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 1

And it came to pass in the twentieth year of the reign of Hezekiah king of Judah, that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw a vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And he called Manasseh his son and said unto him:

โ€œBehold, I know that after my departure thou wilt reign, and thou wilt not walk in the ways of thy father Hezekiah.โ€

โ€œAnd thou wilt serve Beliar rather than the Lord.โ€

And Manasseh said:
โ€œWhy speakest thou thus unto me?โ€

And Isaiah answered and said:
โ€œBecause the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and I see that which is to come.โ€

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 2

And after Hezekiah died, Manasseh reigned, and he did not remember the commandments of his father.

And he turned aside and served Beliar and his angels.

And he caused many in Judah to turn aside, and he shed much innocent blood.

And the prophets whom Isaiah had gathered together were persecuted and scattered.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 3

And Isaiah withdrew himself from the presence of Manasseh and dwelt in the wilderness.

And there were with him many prophets and righteous men.

And they prophesied and spoke the truth, but the king sought to destroy them.

And Beliar stirred up Manasseh against Isaiah.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 4

And there was a certain false prophet named Belkira, who accused Isaiah before the king.

And he said:
โ€œIsaiah speaks against thee and against Jerusalem.โ€

And he speaks words that are not fitting for the ears of the king.โ€

And Manasseh believed him and was filled with wrath.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 5

And Isaiah said:
โ€œKnow ye that I shall be sawn in two, and that this will be done because of the words which I have spoken.โ€

And the prophets wept and said:
โ€œWhy dost thou speak thus?โ€

And Isaiah said:
โ€œBecause I have seen the vision of the Lord, and I know what shall come.โ€

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 6

And they seized Isaiah and brought him before Manasseh.

And they accused him falsely.

And the king commanded that he should be sawn asunder.

And Isaiah did not cry out, nor did he cease from praising the Lord.

And they sawed him in two with a wooden saw.

And he endured it, trusting in the Lord.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 7

And it came to pass after these things that Isaiah spoke to Hezekiah the king and to Josab his son, and to the other prophets that were with him.

And he said unto them:

โ€œWhile I was speaking with you, I saw a vision.โ€

And the Spirit took me, and I ascended into the heavens.

And I saw Sammael and his hosts, and there was great contention therein.

And I saw that there was a struggle and strife among the angels.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 8

And I ascended into the firmament, and I saw the angels who were there, and they were in great glory.

And they praised the Lord with one voice.

And I saw a throne in the midst, and one sitting upon it, and there was great glory.

And the angels were surrounding Him and praising Him.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 9

And I ascended into the second heaven, and I saw greater glory than in the first.

And I ascended into the third, and the glory increased still more.

And so I continued ascending until I reached the seventh heaven.

And there I saw the Lord in His great glory.

And all the righteous and holy ones were there, praising Him continually.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 10

And I saw the Beloved descending through the heavens.

And as He descended, He transformed Himself in each heaven, so that He was not recognized by the angels.

And He descended into the world, and He was born among men.

And He lived among them, and they did not know Him.

And He was crucified, and He descended into Sheol.

And He rose again and ascended into the heavens.

๐Ÿ“– CHAPTER 11

And I saw Him ascend again through the heavens.

And as He ascended, the angels recognized Him and worshipped Him.

And He was exalted above all the heavens and sat at the right hand of the Lord.

And all the hosts of heaven praised Him.

And Isaiah awoke from the vision and declared all these things.
